We have a zoo pass from our town which gave us 50% off so check for discounts. Also, the price of admission is a LOT for what you get considering it is maybe a 2-3 hour visit. Other areas of interest-there is a really expansive gift shop (probably more for kids 10 and under) and a splash pad outside. The aquariums are plentiful and we were able to see several feedings which was fun. They had a section for petting sting rays, but we had just gone to a similar one at my zoo in Columbus two days prior and that blew this one away so it made it seem just ok. There was a section for lemurs, but it was very small and kind of disappointing. I especially loved getting to see them feed the otters. Highlights there were the variety of fish we had not seen before. Livingston's is Sarasota's most inviting entertainment experience. Right when you walk in, there is a fun exhibit where you can touch jelly fish. It wasn’t too crowded and they have some nice exhibits. We visited the day before Christmas Eve almost right when it opened.
